A No-Dig Alternative to Full Pipe Replacement

Digging up a damaged pipe isn't always necessary or practical, especially where it runs under paving, driveways or established gardens. Brown Arm Boys Drainage Brisbane offers pipe relining across Brisbane, installing a new lining inside the existing damaged pipe to repair cracks, gaps and root intrusion without excavation. We assess suitability first, since relining works best on pipes that are structurally sound aside from localised damage. Where the damage is more extensive, drain renewals may be the better fit and we'll explain why. If you'd like to know whether relining suits your situation, call (07) 3063 6032.

How Relining Works

Relining repairs a pipe from the inside out, using its existing structure as the base.

CCTV Assessment

Before relining, we inspect the full length of the pipe to confirm the damage is suitable for this method. Not every pipe condition is a good candidate, and we'll say so if that's the case.

No-Dig Installation

The lining is installed through existing access points, avoiding the need to excavate driveways, paths or gardens above the pipe. This significantly reduces disruption compared to traditional replacement.

Seals Cracks and Joints

Once cured, the lining forms a new internal surface that seals over cracks, gaps and root entry points. This restores structural integrity along the repaired section.

Improved Flow

A relined pipe typically has a smoother internal surface than the original, which can improve water flow and reduce the likelihood of future build-up.

Questions we get asked

Relining generally suits pipes with cracks, small gaps, root intrusion or general deterioration where the overall structure is still intact. Severely collapsed or misaligned sections usually need a different repair method.

A properly installed lining is designed to provide a long-term structural repair comparable to a new pipe, though the exact lifespan depends on the material used and the condition of the host pipe. A CCTV assessment beforehand helps confirm it's a suitable long-term option for that particular pipe.

The lining does add a thin layer to the inside of the pipe, but it's designed to have minimal impact on flow capacity. In most cases the smoother finish it creates offsets the slight reduction in diameter.
